Todd built the State of Nevada's first Computer Crimes Investigations Unit as a Reno Police detective sergeant, then spent two decades building the tools and training that came after it — from the patented WebCase evidence-capture platform at Vere Software to the dark web curriculum he now teaches through Dark Intel. He's a retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant and Afghanistan combat veteran, and the featured internet-crime expert in Alex Winter's documentary Deep Web.

Today he trains investigators, agencies, and conference audiences on dark web investigation, digital forensics, and cryptocurrency tracing — and continues active casework as a Senior Computer Forensics Examiner.
